Welcome to the Lions District
12-S Website…We are glad you are here
My fellow Lions of District 12-S
The 10 days in Seattle, Washington, for the 94th International Convention were cramed full of training, fun, and fellowship. Meeting Lions from all over the world and exchanging ideals and discussing projects were just amazing. This was a most unique experience I will never forget.
Our new Lions International President is an amazing Lion and person. His message for the coming year is outstanding and easy to support. He wants the Lions across the world to plant 1 million trees this year. Trees clean up the air, and he feels that this is a simple demostration of how we as Lions can improve the enviroment. I am proud to serve with him this year.
Now it’s time to get to work on this years goals and the International Theme is
“I BELIEVE”
My goals are (1) New Clubs-at least 2 new clubs by end of year, (2) Up membership-each club to have a plus 1 member at the end of June, (3) Motivation-Get more attendenance to cabinet meeting, District convention and State conventions, (4) More training and what is expected from each position of the DG’s team, (5) More pubilicity to the local public of what Lions do in their communities, (6) Start a District Disaster Plan and Team, (7) Continue to work on plans not completed in previous years.
My Resolution is that every Lion in our District has a strong sense of belonging. I hope to have a positive atmosphere that shapes our character and guides us toward success. We have been privileged to assist thousands from a sense of solitude to a sense of belonging. All it takes is the action of one Lion like you, whose heart understands the needs of todays struggling world. No matter how bleak the circumstances, there is always a way to find the goodness and light in life.
